Hi, I’m Shyan Golesorkhi, a Partner at VPC Accountants. I specialise in working with owner-managed businesses and clients in the financial services sector, helping them navigate the complexities of tax, compliance, and long-term strategic planning. My journey in accountancy began at Tailor Associates in Finchley, where I trained and developed the foundations of my career. I then moved to Charterhouse, a well-respected mid-tier firm, where I qualified as a chartered accountant and gained exposure to a wide variety of industries. Following that, I honed my focus on financial services while working at IQEQ, an international firm known for its depth of expertise in fund administration and regulatory compliance.

Joining VPC Accountants was a natural next step in my career. What I love most about working here is the breadth and diversity of the clients we serve. No two days are ever the same. We may be a boutique firm, but we consistently punch above our weight in terms of knowledge, experience, and delivery. I’m passionate about building long-term relationships with my clients, becoming not just their accountant, but a trusted adviser who understands their goals and helps them achieve them. Whether it’s guiding a growing business through its next stage of expansion or navigating complex financial services regulations, I’m always looking for ways to add value and simplify the journey.

What Is Your Biggest Achievement?
In terms of achievements, I like to think my biggest one is still on its way. I believe in always pushing myself forward, professionally, personally, and mentally. Every client I help, every new skill I develop, and every challenge I take on is part of that ongoing journey of growth. I'm driven by the idea of "levelling up" not just for myself, but for the businesses and people I work with.

What Are Your Hobbies?
Outside of work, I love to travel and explore new corners of the world. Experiencing different cultures, food, and ways of life helps broaden my perspective and keeps me grounded. I’m also a lifelong Manchester United supporter — football is a big part of my life. Whether I'm watching a match or playing a game myself, it’s one of the ways I unwind and stay active.

Ultimately, I’m someone who thrives on challenge, variety, and connection, and I feel lucky to be in a role where all three are part of my daily life.
